 what are you doing more than others do not even pagans do that be is perfect therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect so in everything do to others what you would have them do to you but this sums up the law and the prophets Jesus replied love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind this is the first and greatest commandment and the second is like it loves your neighbor as yourself

all the law and the prophets hang on these two Commandments a new command I give you love one another as I have loved you so you must love one another by this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another

as the father has loved me so have I loved you now remain in my love if you keep my commands you will remain in my love just as I have kept my Father's commands and remain in his love I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete my command is this love each other as I have loved you greater love has no one than this to lay down one's life for one's friends you are my friends if you do what I command I no longer call you servants because servants do not know their masters business instead I have called you friends for everything that I learned from My Father I have made known to you-you did not choose me but I chose you

 it appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit that will last and so that whatever you ask in my name the father will give you this is my command love each other be devoted to one another in love honor one another above yourselves

 let no debt remain outstanding except the continuing debt to love one another for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law the commandments you shall not commit adultery you shall not murder you shall not steal you shall not covet and whatever other command there may be are summed up in this one command love your neighbor as yourself love does no harm to its neighbor therefore love is the fulfillment of the law

The Love of God

and yet I will show you the most excellent way if I speak in human or angelic tongues but do not have love I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal if I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge and if I have a faith that can move mountains but do not have love I am nothing if I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast but do not have love I gain nothing love is patient love is kind it does not envy it does not boast it is not proud it does not dishonor others it is not self-seeking it is not easily angered it keeps no record of wrongs love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth it always protects always trusts always hopes always perseveres love never fails but where there are prophecies they will cease where there are tongues they will be stilled where there is knowledge it will pass away for we know in part and we prophesy in part but when

 completeness comes what is in part disappears when I was a child I talked like a child I thought like a child I reasoned like a child when I became a man I put the ways of childhood behind me, for now, we see only a reflection as in a mirror then we shall see face to face now I know in part then I shall know fully even as I am fully known and now these three remain faith hope and love but the greatest of these is love                                                            

Introduction to Prayer

 completely humble engine and gentle be patient bearing with one another in love and let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds now that you have purified your cells by obeying the truth so that you have sincere love for each other love one another deeply from the heart finally all of you be like-minded be sympathetic love one another be compassionate and humble above all love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins those who love their fellow believers live in the light and there is nothing in them to make them stumble for this is the message you heard from the beginning we should love one another we know that we have passed from death to life because we love each other anyone who does not love remains in death this is how we know what love Jesus Christ laid down his life for us and we ought to lay down our lives for one another dear children let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth

 and this is his command to believe in the name of his son Jesus Christ and to love one another as he commanded us dear friends let us love one another for love comes from God everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God whoever does not love does not know God because God is love this is how God showed his love among us he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him this is love not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins dear friends since God so loved us we also ought to love one another no one has ever seen God but if we love one another God lives in the US and his love is made complete in us this is how we know that we live in him and he in us he has given us of his spirit and we have seen and testify that the father has sent his son to be the savior of the world if anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God God lives in them and they in God and so we know and rely on the love God has for us god is love whoever lives in love lives in God and God in them this is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment in this world we are like Jesus

 there is no fear in love but perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment the one who fears is not made perfect in love we love because He first loved us if we say we love God yet hate a brother or sister we are liars for if we do not love a fellow believer whom we have seen he cannot love God we have not seen and he has given us this command those who love God was also loved one another and now dear lady I am NOT writing you a new command but one we have had from the beginning I ask that we love one another and this is love that we walk in obedience to his commands as you have heard from the beginning his command is that you walk in love keep yourselves in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus. Christ to bring you to eternal life
