Seeking God First In Your Life

Seeking God First In Your Life

Bible, Bible Study, Bible Verses, Bible Verses Victory, Faith, Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Power in Prayer, Prayer, Seeking God First, Seeking God First In Your Life, Sermons, Sermons On Prayer, Today I want to speak to you about seeking God first in your life. Now that scripture in Matthew Chapter six and verse 33 where Jesus was speaking, he said to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto us. And so we are to seek him first. And that means putting him first in our lives. The priority of our life should be him, but it also, I believe means seeking him first, the very first part of our lives. We need to seek him. We need to start off the day by saying, God, I need you. Now. I know for a lot of us that's, that's a difficult thing to do because we're not morning-type people. I'm not a morning person. I remember one night we had an all-night prayer meeting in this church and I was, I was there with all these pastors praying and an early in the morning I fell asleep. And uh, and I remember they woke me up and when I heard one of the pastors are saying, oh Lord, give me peace. Like your gay brother Sammy.

Hi, I'm not an early morning person, but I've learned something. I've learned that I need to start off my day with God. Now I know all of us to have different times. Some of us, um, our days are different in our work schedules are different, but I believe we need to start off the day because when we start off the day, what we're doing is we're saying, God, I need you today. I can't do anything without you today. You are my hope. You are, you're, you are my life.

I need you today. If you wait until the evening, and by the way, it's good to pray in the evening. My wife and I pray every evening together, and so that's a good thing to do, but I want to say this to you. If that's all you do, the only thing you can really say is, oh Lord, forgive me because I blew it today because you see we're needy people. We need him and we need his grace. We need him, his guidance. We need his power to be able to live the way he wants us to live. So every day we ought to start off the day seeking him. So seek God first, seek his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. Seek him first.
